Wishes Do Come True
The following is a list of current Wishes. Please use the form below to select a Wish to fund and fill in your donor information. To fund the Wish, you may pay by check made out to Plentywood Alumni Foundation or use Pay Pal. The link to Pay Pal will appear when you submit the form. Wish List Teacher: Mrs. O’Toole & Mrs. Lindsey - Librarians Wish: To have a monetary account available to purchase new Accelerated Reading tests as new books are added to our circulation through donations or our library budget. Cost: $500 (each new test costs $2.98) Number of Students Impacted: Entire student body Teacher: Mrs. Tabbert – H.S. Resource Room Wish: The High School Resource Room currently has one Kindle that is used by all students qualified for a Reading disability. It is a hand-held device that can hold up to 3500 books. The Resource Room currently has approximately 20 books on tape (which are quickly becoming antiquated). The Kindle has the capability to “read” the book to a student as they read the book on the screen, without the option of downloading or playing games (features of the MP3 or Ipod). For those students that have been read to, comprehension has greatly increased and AR average scores have been increased. The Kindle has been in high demand since one was purchased by the Foundation in May. A second Kindle would allow more students to use the device to listen to or read books. The cost of one Kindle is $139. Cost: Books currently cost between $.99 and $15.99. Gift cards or credits for books are always welcome. Number of students impacted: 20 Teacher: Mr. Johnson - PE/Adv.
